Wrongful Birth Bill: New Abortion Legislation Passes Arizona Senate

Under the provisions of her bill, a doctor could not face a medical malpractice suit if the doctor withholds information from a mother about health issues facing a child that could cause her to have an abortion. In addition, a lawsuit could not be filed on the child’s behalf regarding a disability.

So, let me get this straight, it’s now on the Doctor to determine whether or not fully informing their patient would lead that patient to seek an abortion.

Honestly, if my doctor thought that it was ever, in any situation, okay to withhold pertinent medical information from me for any reason, I would be finding a different doctor, and suing his pants off (provided that I didn’t live in one of the nine other states where this shit is already on the books).

Seriously, the right has their people all irate about the “Nanny State”, while they’re slowly, but surely, implementing the Command state, where they tell you what you get and you either “love it or leave it”.
